Jammu, Sep 02: The employees of Vodafone Essar, have donated an amount of RS 1,70,000 towards the flood victims in Leh.
Rakesh Shalla - Associate Vice - President, Sales and Marketing, Vodafone Essar Jammu and Kashmir presented the cheque of the amount collected, to M. K. Dwivedi, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu who will further share it with the Deputy Commissioner of Leh.
While the gigantic task of providing timely relief to and the rehabilitation of the affected people poses an enormous challenge, this initiative is an attempt on the part of Vodafone employees to make their contribution to the cause.
“ The floods in Leh have had a devastating impact on the lives of the people there. As members of the society we feel that if's our responsibility to help in whatever manner we can. The employees of the company have come forward and generously contributed towards this cause," Rajiv Kohli, Chief Executive Officer, Vodafone Essar Jammu and Kashmir said.
