Stranded Kashmiri businessmen in Nepal seek evacuation

The Kashmiri businessmen who are stranded in Nepal due to Covid lockdown have urged the LG administration for their evacuation.
According to the businessmen, they are anxiously waiting for their evacuation as all their resources have exhausted due to lockdown.
Talking to Rising Kashmir, the businessmen said as many as 124 of them are willing to travel back to home due to the outbreak of this pandemic and stay with the family members.
“Our tourist business has been adversely affected and consequently income to the business has come to complete standstill. There is no assurance that it will be restored in 2020 and beyond. Until the signs of a recovery are underway when we can see income flowing, we have put the business into a state of hibernation to ride out the Covid- 19.”
They requested the Indian Embassy to arrange a charter flight from Kathmandu to Srinagar.
“We have already presented a list of 124 Kashmiris to them last week who are eagerly waiting for the evacuation. We request JK administration to contact Indian Embassy in Nepal for the same.”
