New Delhi, Nov 10:

A five-member team led by a senior home ministry official is on a two-day visit to the Jammu region to find a resolution to problems of the people living in the border areas, an official said Friday.
The move comes amid a five-day Kashmir visit of Dineshwar Sharma, the Government of India’s special representative for Jammu and Kashmir, to start a multi-layered dialogue process.
He has been meeting a cross section of people to resolve problems related to the Kashmir region.
Meanwhile, the team led by Special Secretary (Internal Security) in the Home Ministry Rina Mitra today visited the Samba, RS Pura and Kathua areas of Jammu, the official said.
The team has three members from the Jammu and Kashmir government. One joint secretary-level officer in the home ministry is also part of it, the official said.
The members heard out the villagers in the areas. They demanded bunkers, schools and compensation for loss caused due to ceasefire violations by the Pakistan side, he said.
