Department of Youth Services and Sports will host a mega football championship which shall nurture and boost the talent of our young footballers, this was stated by Minister for Youth Services and Sports, IT and Technical Education Molvi Imran Raza Ansari.
While providing the details about the sports extravaganza which is being inaugurated soon, he said that Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (GOI) has been enough to approve the proposal for conducting 'Let's Play' football tournament for student and non student youth of J&K state.
Molvi Imran Raza Ansari further stated that he has impressed upon Director Youth Services and Sports to ensure that every physical education teacher, master and lecturer formulates atleast one team of footballers in the school where he/she is posted. Besides this the field staff of YSS Department will take appropriate steps to encourage the participation of non students too in the championship. Imran Raza also said that it is a national programme for the development of sports and students between the age group of 6 years to 19 years age group are participating in the event. He further said that about 70 thousand girls and boys are expected to participate in the mega event.
He also said that the participation of girls will be another speciality of this tourney as participating in such a big tournament will certainly boost the morale of our daughters. Molvi Imran Raza Ansari hoped that the football championship will help the Department to tap many such heros in the game of football who will shine on the international level. He assured that further training and every possible encouragement will be provided to those players who will do good in the tournament. He made a mention about creating an online portal for the purpose of keeping track record of all the participating players.
