Srinagar, Sep 2: Police on Thursday arrested a man charged with the murder of a woman in Bandipore district of North Kashmir.
Muzaffar Rasool, son of Ghulam Rasool Lone of Garoora village was arrested for the death of a woman. The accused, sources said had barged into the residential house of a man identified as Hamidullah, son of Assadullah Ganai on Tuesday and attacked his wife Asia Begum on head with a sharp edged weapon.
The injured woman, police said succumbed to injuries later at the hospital.
“After the death of his wife, Hamidullah lodged a written report in police post Argam. Police filed a Case Fir No 198/2010 under section 447,302 RPC and arrested the accused,” police sources added.
