#KashmirKillings: OIC condemns civilian killings in Kashmir

Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has condemned the civilian killings in Kashmir.

“OIC condemns, in the strongest terms, the killing of at least thirty civilians and injuring hundreds of others at the peaceful demonstrations being held to protest the killing of Kashmiri leader, Burhan Wani by Indian security forces,” reads the OIC statement posted on its website.

“OIC Secretary General, Iyad Ameen Madani deplored the use of force by the Indian security forces on the peaceful protesters. He called for a thorough and expedient investigation to ensure that Indian security forces cease forthwith the gross and systematic human rights violations of the Kashmiri people,” adds the statement.

The Secretary General expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and wished the wounded fast recovery from their injuries.
