Jumat-ul-Vida being observed as Yaum-e-Qudus

Srinagar, Sep 2:
The Mirwaiz Umar Farooq-led Hurriyat Conference, Thursday said the Jumat-ul-Vida (Friday following of holy month of Ramadan)  will be observed in Kashmir as Yaum-e-Kashmir and Yaum-e-Qudus to reiterate the pledge to continue the resistance movement until it reaches its logical conclusion.

In a statement issued here, the Hurriyat faction said that while its chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq will address a gathering at the historic Jamia Masjid, other Hurriyat leaders would go to mosques, shrines, imambaras to seek people’s support for the resolution passed by the Hurriyat in this regard.

“Besides denouncing the illegal occupation of Masjid Aqsa in Palestine, collective tributes will be paid to the 65 people that includes children and women killed in the forces’ firing over the past three months  on the occasion,” the statement said.  (PBI)
