Srinagar, Sep 09: Reacting sharply to the proposed “Quran Burning” event by Pastor Tery Jones on September 11, chief organiser, JKLF (R), Shafat Jan Shangloo, said that this extremist step has no agenda but to hurt the sentiments of Muslims and to drag them on the path hatred and anger.
In a statement issued here, Shangloo said that steps are taken in Europe and in other western countries to promote anti-Muslim propaganda by awarding people who make defamatory cartoons of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). According to Shangloo this will only create hatred among the people all over the world. “It can prove very dangerous to the peace in the whole world,” he said. He urged European countries to denounce such events so that the people who defame Islam get demoralized. “I also appeal the Islamic countries to unanimously give a befitting reply to such activities,” he said. He also condemned the killing of Muhammad Imran of Zadibal and also demanded release of youth from different jails.
