JKAACL holds Mushaira in Kathua

J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Sub Office Kathua organized a Multilingual Mushaira at Seminar Hall, Sub office Kathua.

According to a spokesman , Rovin Sharma, a social worker, was chief guest on the occasion.Dr. Usha Monga, a noted poet of the state, presided over the function.

In his welcome address, Sanjeev Gupta, SOCA Kathua, said that J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages will also provide platform to the budding Artists, Writers and painters in near future by organising talent hunt programmes in Distt. Kathua besides Nukkad Nataks and Theatre and writers workshops will also be organized in the district.


Kumar appreciated the poems of all the poets and assured full support from his side for the promotion of literature, culture and especially for the promotion of Dogri Languages in Distt. Kathua.
He also encouraged the budding writers to come forward and contribute in the field of literature. The proceedings were conducted by T. R Sumbria.

The poets who recites their poems in the said Mushaira were Santosh Rai Dhiman, Khajoor Singh, Som Akela, Balak Ram, Dr. Gourav Parsad Sharma, Dr. Parmjeet Sharma, Madan Lal Toofan, Kuldeep kippi , R.S. Katal , Sarooj Bala, and others
