J&K nursing assistant dies in Saudi Arabia; AIMSA VP urges immediate repatriation

New Delhi, April 5:In a tragic incident, Bilal Manzoor Ganie, a Nursing Assistant from Chountiwari Sogam (Lolab) in Jammu & Kashmir's Kupwara district, passed away today while working at Aaba International Hospital in Saudi Arabia.

Bilal, the son of Manzoor Ahmed Ganie, had been working in Saudi Arabia for several years. According to initial reports, he suffered a cardiac arrest, which led to his untimely death. The news has left his family and the local community in deep shock and grief.

Reacting to the incident, Dr. Mohammad Momin Khan, Vice President of the All India Medical Students Association (AIMSA), has appealed to External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar to ensure the urgent repatriation of Bilal's mortal remains to his hometown in Sogam, Lolab.

Dr. Khan has also urged the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia to intervene immediately and complete all necessary formalities, stressing the emotional and humanitarian importance of returning the body to the bereaved family without delay.

The family has requested authorities to expedite the repatriation process as they await the final rites of their loved one.
