Baramulla thrashes Magam college by 81 runs in QFs

Government Degree College (GDC) Baramulla stormed into semifinals thrashing GDC Magam by 81 runs in the third quarter finals here on Thursday.
After winning the toss GDC Baramulla scored a mammoth 207 for 7 in allotted 20 overs with Sarfaraz Iqbal's blistering knock of 76 runs in 38 balls and Harpreet Singh's quick fire 24 runs in 11 balls.
Qarar Hussain claimed 3 wickets in his 4 overs for Magam team. Chasing a stiff target of 208 runs Magam team were able to score only 126 all out in allotted 20 overs. Suhail Chopan with 36 and Zubair with 31 runs were the prominent scorers for Magam team. Mudasir Ahmed took 5 wickets for Baramulla team.
Sarfaraz Iqbal was awarded man of the match award for his blistering batting performance by Islamia College Sr. Faculty member Dr. S M M Akram in an after match function.
The tournament is sponsored by J&K Higher Education Department and is organized by the Department of Physical Education, The Islamia College of Science and Commerce.
GDC Ganderbal will clash with GDC Tangmarg in the last quarterfinal on Saturday to complete the semifinal line up.
