In fresh ceasefire violation, India and Pakistan exchanged heavy gunfire along Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir's Uri sector on Saturday

Station House Officer Uri, Tabreez Khan informed this reporter that at around 11:45 a.m, Pakistani troops resorted to heavy shelling on Indian posts in Tillawari and Sillikot areas of Uri along LoC.

"The firing is going on both sides. But there is nothing to worry about as it is a normal fire nowadays. All is well," Khan said.

With the intermittent firing and shelling going since Monday, the people from nearly six frontier villages of Uri have been migrating to safer places.

Officials in Uri told this reporter that at nearly 40 families are camping at Girls Higher Secondary School Uri.
