The Director-General of Police J&K Shri Dilbag Singh inaugurated Ahmadnagar (Pati Anchar) Police Post in the territorial jurisdiction of Police Station Soura, Hazratbal Srinagar and reviewed crime records within the jurisdiction of the police post. He also visited the yesterdays' attack site in Pandach in which two BSF personnel were martyred.
The DGP was accompanied by IGP Kashmir Zone Shri
Vijay Kumar, DIG CKR Shri Mohammad Suleman Choudhary, DIG SSB Ranjeet Singh, SSP Srinagar Dr Haseeb Mughul. SP Hazratbal Shri S Sudhanshu Pandey, SP Headquarters Srinagar, ASP Zadibal and SHO Soura were also present on the occasion.
Soon after the inauguration of the premises, the DGP inspected the building infrastructure. He interacted with the officers and jawans of the Police Post. He also took stock of the functioning of Police Post and checked crime records within the jurisdiction of the Police Post.
On the occasion, the DGP emphasized the importance of establishing the Ahmadnagar Police Post and addressing the long pending demand of the people of the area. The aim of establishing the Police Post is to provide speedy redressal of the public grievances/complaints and prompt police action in case of any untoward incident or any kind of emergency, he said. He reiterated the commitment of J&K Police for protection of life and property of the public and stressed upon the officers of Srinagar Police to work in tandem with the people and attend to their calls for help in the times of global pandemic of COVID-19.
