Kashmir valley remained cut off from rest of the world for the second consecutive day on Tuesday due to the closure 300-km long Srinagar- Jammu highway.
A senior traffic police official told Rising Kashmir that no traffic was allowed today but added that the snow clearance was on.
"The snowfall has stopped from the morning. The road is clear but the shooting of stones has been witnessed at many places along the highway," he said.
The national highway, the only road linking Kashmir valley with the world was closed as a precautionary measure after the snowfall and slippery road condition at various places earlier on Monday.
