J&K Hoteliers Club has hailed Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Minister for Education Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari for sanctioning fire and emergency services station for popular tourist resort Gulmarg.
In a statement, Chairman Mushtaq Chaya said due to the lack of fire tenders at Gulmarg, many hotels gutted.
“Now with the availability of fire tenders in Gulmarg, hotels can be saved from any disaster,” said Chaya.
Chaya said there are over 60 hotels at Gulmarg which will be protected with these emergency services.
Chaya said it was their long pending demand which has been fulfilled.
“We thank Chief Minister for sanctioning fire service station for the Gulmarg. Gulmarg is an important resort where we need to protect hotel properties,” said Chaya.
Chaya also hailed CEO Gulmarg Development Authority Syed Hanief Balkhi for taking immediate steps for the allotment of the fire and emergency services for Gulmarg.
“We will fully cooperate with the tourism sector and the government for the promotion of tourism and we are expecting good tourist flow in winter months this season. We will provide all support to government in the winter sports in Gulmarg,” said Chaya.
