"Let Syed Ali Shah Geelani join an open debate with me on the issues of ‘Accession’, State-Centre relations, State’s composite culture, UN Resolutions and on the so-called ‘dispute.’ And I assure Geelani Sahib that I shall take no security cover with me except couple of my party colleagues from the Valley to look after my transportation only," Bhim Singh said in a statement.

Singh said that he can share a common platform with Geelani at any place in the state, “even at a place which Geelani considers as his den.”

Singh said that he has written a letter to Geelani in this view in which he has asked the ailing separatist leader to share platform with him and let the people decide which school of thought they want to follow.

"Both of us shall start from Sopore and concluding in Islamabad in the Valley. We shall start from Poonch and conclude in Kishtwar or any other schedule which you will find more convenient to your goodself. I shall not constrain you much because of your health reasons," Bhim Singh wrote in the letter.
