Train service remained suspended for the second day today for “security reasons” in south Kashmir while trains will chug on Srinagar-Baramulla track.
Train service was suspended yesterday in the Kashmir valley for security reasons in view of shutdown call given by Joint Hurriyat Leadership (JRL) against attempts to abrogate Article 35-A.
All train runs between Budgam-Srinagar to Anantnag-Qazigund to Banihal remained suspended for the second day today, a senior railway official said.
No train will run on this route, he said, adding that this decision was taken after a fresh advisory was received from authorities and police last night.
Train service will be resumed only after receiving green signal from the authorities.
