Army Saturday resorted to aerial firing in Wanpoh area of Kulgam district after their convoy was pelted with stones by youth amid complete shutdown.
A police official told Rising Kashmir that, “A group of youth appeared on the highway at Wanpoh and pelted stones on the passing army convoy.
“To disperse the youth army fired few shots in the air.
“Police and paramilitary CRPF is present in the area to maintain law and order situation,” he said.
Pertinently, a complete shutdown is being observed across Kashmir in view of shutdown call given by the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) over civilian killing in Khudwani area district Kulgam.
