‘Kashmir dispute is threat to world peace’

Rising Kashmir News
Srinagar, Nov 20: Asserting that the Kashmir dispute is a threat to the world peace, Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Muhammad Yasin Malik Friday said it was high time to resolve the vexed issue as per the aspirations of Kashmiris.
“We have rendered sacrifices and cannot let our fourth generation get wasted in the conflict,” Malik said addressing a gathering at Kund, Qazigund.

Malik said the involvement of Kashmiri leadership at the policymaking level and not dialogue can resolve the Kashmir issue. “Kashmir issue cannot be resolved just through a dialogue process between India and Pakistan. The involvement of Kashmiri leadership at the policymaking level is important,” Malik said.
He said the global civil society including that of India and Pakistan have moral responsibility to play a role in Kashmir resolution.
“The world civil society including that of India and Pakistan has a moral responsibility to play its role for the long-lasting and durable resolution of the Kashmir issue,” said Malik as people were raising slogans in favour of Islam, freedom, martyrs and JKLF.
Reiterating that the nation should not shun non-violent and peaceful resistance, Malik said: “We have to highlight our issue as a human issue. We have strictly followed the peaceful way and will continue to do so.”
About his proposed foot march, Malik said: “I will travel across the State on foot. The slogan for the march will be ‘Save the fourth generation: Solve the Kashmir issue’”.
Malik said Kashmir issue is not a border dispute between the two countries but an issue of the future of millions of people. Bashir Ahmed Bhat, Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Javed Ahmed Zargar, Mushtaq Ajmal, Sheikh Muhammad Aslam, Showkat Ahmed, Mir Muhammad Zaman and other JKLF members accompanied Malik.

We are to be destroyed physically, economically and culturally

Abdul Majid Zargar

It is said and widely believed that Kurds have no friends. If permitted, I will add word “Kashmiris” to it. And to demonstrate the ground realities correctly, I will arrange the phrase to read as “Kashmiris and Kurds have no friends”
