Kulgam, April 29: Security forces on Thursday claimed to have recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) material near the national highway in Khudwani area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, police said.

 A joint team of forces on Thursday morning detected an IED near the national highway in Kulgam’s Turka—Tachloo area.

 Police sources said that the suspected IED material was found inside a bag following which a bomb disposal squad rushed to the area.

 An official while confirming the recovery of the explosive material said that investigation in this regard has been taken up.

 Last week, security forces detected and destroyed two IEDs in Pulwama and Shopian districts of South Kashmir.
