Free eye check-up camp held in Budgam

Srinagar, Apr 15: Youth Empowerment Society (YES) in collaboration with Kashmir Eye Hospital, Nowgam on Wednesday organised a free eye check-up camp at Gurudwara Sri Guru Nanak Charan Asthan, Beerwah in Budgam.

 

In a statement issued here, it said that the dedicated team of professional doctors and healthcare staff from Kashmir Eye Hospital provided comprehensive eye examinations and first-line treatment to patients during the camp.

 

“Approximately 200 individuals were examined, with those requiring further medical attention being advised for advanced treatment and follow-up care,” it said.

 

Speaking on the occasion, President YES Tejveer Singh expressed gratitude for the collaborative effort.

 

“We sincerely thank Kashmir Eye Hospital for their unwavering support and commitment in making this camp a success. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee Budgam for their valuable cooperation and support in organising this initiative,” he said.

 

The camp witnessed active participation from members of the Youth Empowerment Society (YES), including President Tejveer Singh, Treasurer Ajeetpal Singh, Joint Secretary Angatdeep Singh Rangret, Coordinator Operations Milandeep Singh, and Organising Secretary Tarunjot Singh. Core members Milanjeet Singh, Sehajpreet Singh, Rohandeep Singh, Adarshpreet Singh, Harmeek, Balwinder Singh, and Angatdeep Singh also volunteered during the camp, working alongside the medical team of Kashmir Eye Hospital.

 

“This initiative highlights the shared commitment of Kashmir Eye Hospital and YES towards promoting community health and ensuring access to essential eye care services for the public,” it added.
