Budgam, Apr 29: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Athar Aamir Khan on Wednesday chaired a meeting to review revenue-related matters and functioning of revenue services across all tehsils of the district.
The meeting was held at the DC Office Complex, Budgam, and was attended by ADC, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah, ACR Budgam, all Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs), CAO, CHO, Tehsildars, and other Revenue officials.
During the meeting, the DC reviewed various agenda points including digitization of Jamabandis and entry of backlog mutations, digitization, recreation of Mussavis, progress of truthing/validation of Map 2.0 under SVAMITVA, status of rectification cases under Section 27 of LRA, status of Agri Stack Project, services under PSGA, status of RCCMS, migrant grievances (offline/online), SAMADHAN, and Capex Budget for Revenue.
The DC emphasized the need for 100% digitization of Jamabandis to enhance transparency and efficiency in land records management.
He directed all Revenue officials to prioritize clearing pendency under various heads and ensure prompt service delivery to the general public across all Revenue offices in the district.
He instructed officers to assess rejected and reverted cases under the Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA) in their respective jurisdictions and stressed that disposal of such cases must be carried out in a time-bound manner to avoid inconvenience to the public.
The DC also reviewed the status of infrastructure projects of Tehsil Office BK Pora and Niabats of Nagam, Soibugh, and Kachwari, directing concerned officers to maintain close coordination with executing agencies for their timely completion.
The DC further reviewed the status of land acquisition cases, fencing of State land, disposal of Revenue Court cases, functioning of the Management Portal, disposal of inheritance mutations, maintenance of stock registers, and issuance of certificates including income and category certificates.
The DC further stressed that Revenue officers must remain proactive in addressing public grievances. He directed all officers to ensure regular monitoring, adherence to timelines, and efficient record management.
The DC urged all Revenue officers to work diligently towards building a system that prioritizes accountability, streamlined processes, and welfare of the citizens of the district.
